Kirsten Peterson studied communications, theatrical set design, and pre-architecture at the University of Utah. She earned her BFA in Advertising Design with an emphasis on Computer Graphics from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, graduating with honors. While at the Academy, she managed the in-house ad agency, Adcom. She served her internship producing art for animations and special effects at Varitel Video, a top post-production facility.
Kirsten joined Patrick Media Group to art direct large-scale outdoor advertising campaigns. After unifying their national brand, she led the corporation to upgrade nationwide from traditional layout production to digital design. Kirsten then personally trained their design departments across the country to use new Apple© and Adobe© design tools and techniques.
After returning to Utah, Kirsten was a senior production designer, art director, and team leader at Dahlin Smith White Advertising (later DSW Partners) just as it was forming an interactive cadre. “DSW built their high-tech client base with a progressive approach that informed our expansion of services from print advertising into the multimedia and interactive realms.” She contributed to DSW’s remarkable evolution from an already well-respected and sophisticated high-tech, print-based ad agency into a formidable, integrated global advertising force. Kirsten worked on complete marketing campaigns that included print, collateral design, and interactive creative spots – for clients such as Netscape, Ask Jeeves, Iomega, InFocus, Word Perfect, STAC Electronics, Bay Networks, Adaptec, Tenfold, and wildly successful Intel. DSW later merged with EURO-RSCG.
Kirsten launched her company, A_Priori Creative Alliance LLC, in 1999 to help businesses effectively promote their brands and services. Combining years of experience with business savvy, she recognizes that a team approach serves the business community best, and she sees the client relationship as collaborative. Many of her clients help make positive changes in the world. Kirsten’s lifelong dedication to conservation and alternative energy development drives her vision for 2013. “It’s time to put our technology to the test in the advancement of a new economic future. I am passionate about promoting better ideas for living well.”
Kirsten strengthens the entire team to create integrated marketing tools for clients such as – Earth Goods General Store, Accelerated Tanks and Trailers, Power Electric Company, Haynie & Company CPAs, ETC Group, Rio Tinto, What’s Working Well?, and Colorado River & Trail Expeditions.
